MEET OUR HYGIENISTS

Richard  

Richard received his Dental Hygienist Degree in 2008 and soon after became a part of the Stone Creek Dental family. He has been working in the dental field for eighteen years and especially loves the variety of people he is able to meet. He recalls, as a young teen, having an awful experience in the dental chair that left a lasting impression. This bad memory has motivated him to focus on alleviating patients' fears with an empathetic approach. Growing up in Alaska, Richard had had enough of winters that lasted nine months, so he hit the road for Boise. He's been a self-proclaimed Idahoan ever since. In 2013 Richard married his lovely wife and began a family. He now takes orders from his darling daughter. Richard is a handman by nature and spends his free time elbows deep in home renovations or rebuilding a jet ski or ATV engine or the like. He loves jet skiing, boating, welding, and woodworking.

Fun Fact: Richard was born on Kodiak Island and lived there for twelve years and then moved to North Pole, Alaska, where he lived for eighteen years. Idaho winters are warm for him!!

Courtney

Randy   

Randy studied at both University Nevada Reno and at Carrington College. He has a master's degree in Dental Hygiene and loves teaching patients and other dental professionals about how to provide the best dental care for themselves and others. He has writtten several articles and given many lectures on indepth dental hygiene topics to provide continuing education opportunities for others. He has been working in the dental field for nearly twenty years and loves it! He truly enjoys being a part of patient's health care and promoting ways to improve overall health. You'll feel that enthusiasm for his career when you come in to have your teeth cleaned by Randy! He grew up in Reno, Nevada, but calls Idaho home! He enjoys motocross, triathlons, fishing, and camping. He has three children with one left at home and loves being together as a family.

Fun Fact: Randy's first career was as a firefighter/paramedic! Thank you, Randy, for your service as a first responder!

Tracy

Tracy is one of our experienced Hygienists here at Stone Creek Dental. She Studied Dental Hygiene at the University of Colorado Health Science Center and has been working in the dental field for 26 years. She loves educating her patients about oral health and really enjoys personally connecting with each patient. You will feel her genuine kindness and personable nature and know that she finds joy in serving others. Tracy is from Nebraska and loves to watch Husker football and volleyball! She now calls Meridian, Idaho, home and her and her son enjoy getting to know and love Idaho. Tracy enjoys restoring/refinishing furniture and working on DIY home improvements.

Fun Fact: Tracy loves to listen to music and has been to a lot of concerts! 

Amanda

Amanda received her Dental Hygiene Associates at Carrington College here in Boise and is currently working on her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene through Wichita State University. She began her career as a dental assistant but has been working as a Dental Hygienist for nearly 14 years. One thing she loves about her career is the opportunity to meet new people and seeing them improve in their oral health. Amanda enjoys getting to know each patient, and welcomes you telling her all about yourself. She grew up in Southern California and moved to Idaho for school. Her family then lived in Oklahoma City for 13 years and they are happy to finally be back in Idaho. She definitely calls Idaho her home dispite the fact she is thankful for her opportunity to explore other parts of the country. Her and her husband have two active boys and they enjoy camping, bike riding, and the outdoors. If she can find the time, she enjoys time with friends, crafting and baking delicious food.  

Fun Fact: She and Randy (another one of our Hygienists) went to school together years ago and now they are back working in the same office together!

MEET OUR OFFICE STAFF

Ashlyn 

Ashlyn is our wonderful office manager here at Stone Creek Dental. She is our resident tech savvy member of our staff! She graduated in Bioinformatics from Brigham Young University and helps keep Stone Creek Dental running smoothly. Ashlyn grew up in the dental field so to speak and loves working with family! She is from Meridian but currently calls Star, Idaho, home. One of her favorite things to do is spend time planning and going on trips around the world! She loves to hear about patients’ favorite places to visit so she can continue adding to her own bucket list! She and her husband, Benjamin, are huge Boise State fans and love tailgating and going to the games!

Fun Fact: She is Dr. Butterfield’s favorite child!! :)

Shannon 

Shannon is one of our wonderful front office staff members! She studied at both Brigham Young University for General Studies and the Milan Institute for Dental Assisting. Her background helps her to really understand your dental needs from the front office to the back. She has been working in the dental industry for about eight years and her favorite thing about her career is working with spreadsheets! It may sound crazy, but she loves finding solutions and says it’s like a puzzle for her that she loves to solve. She is originally from Portland, Oregon, but has lived in Nampa, Idaho, for many years and now calls it home. She has a close-knit family who loves spending time together watching movies or just hanging out.

Fun Fact: Shannon traveled Europe by herself when she was 19 years old!

Maureen  

Maureen is another one of our wonderful front office staff members. She studied business at Boise State University and has been working in the dental field for seventeen years. One of her favorite things about her career is interacting with and helping patients be active in their treatment decision process and learning new things to benefit patients and the practice. Boise has always been her home. She and her husband, Matt, have four children and six grandchildren. She loves going on adventures and values quality time with her husband, their children, their spouses, and their grandchildren. Other favorite hobbies include cycling, hiking, reading, and cooking.

Fun Fact: Maureen was formerly a travel agent and as you can imagine loves to travel! Ask her about anywhere and she will have something fun to talk to you about!

Sarah

Sarah is one of our friendly front office staff members. She studied medical assisting and then moved her way into the dental field via working for an oral surgery center and now with us here at Stone Creek Dental. You will find her friendly and helpful as you schedule your appointments and get yourself checked in or out. She grew up in Moscow, Idaho, but now calls Middleton her home. She loves spending time with her husband and three children. They have two boys and a girl whom she describes as her "Mini Me". They also have two fun dogs. A Yellow Lab and a Mini Dachshund. She enjoys crafting and making/creating wreaths with her hobby time, along with shopping, and spending time with her husband and children. She enjoys kayaking with her family but hates the water! 

Fun Fact: If she could be a spirit animal, she would be a Highland Cow, because they get to eat whatever they want and be cute in thier own pasture :)

MEET OUR DENTAL ASSISTANTS

Ximena

Ximena attended the College of Western Idaho Dental Assisting Program and has been part of our dental family here at Stone Creek Dental for over four years. She loves helping people feel confident and happy about their smiles and dental health. Ximena also loves getting to know all ages and everyone’s personalities. You will love her kind and compassionate personality as she helps you feel comfortable at your next dentist appointment. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her husband and family. She has the cutest little baby girl! Some of her favorite things to do are to try new restaurants and hobbies with her husband and to go on shopping sprees with her mom.

Fun Fact: Ximena has been playing the piano since she was 14 years old! 

Esmeralda 

Esmeralda graduated from the College of Western Idaho Dental Assisting Program in May of 2021 and has been part of our dental family here at Stone Creek Dental for over three years. She loves helping people perfect their smiles! Esmeralda enjoys being able to educate patients on how to maintain and have healthy teeth. She is rewarded when a patient leaves the office happy about their smile/teeth! She is an original Idahoan born and raised! Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and photography. She loves taking pictures of everything and anything for memories!

Fun Fact: Esmeralda is the oldest child in her family and the only girl! She also speaks Spanish, English, and some French. 

Karri

Karri brings with her several years of dental assisting experience and continues to set high expectations for herself and others to provide the best dental care possible for our patients. Her pursuit for Idaho's outdoor gems brought her to Boise over 30 years ago. Karri raised her son here in the Treasure Valley and is a proud mama, describing him as a strong and honorable man. The other half of her heart belongs to her new Springer Spaniel puppy, Jasmine. She loves to hike and snowshoe among other outdoor activities. Karri says that Mother Nature provides a quiet that is unique to the daily grind. She loves to travel and has spent many vacations on the Oregon Coast. She even visited Australia to cuddle a koala! She captures her happy moments of travel with her camera and uses the snapshots to journal the memories. 

Fun Fact: After many years of dreaming and planning, Karri visited Italy to check one more adventure off of her bucket list!
